Few creatures in Sonaria carry as mythic an origin as the Aereis. This Tier 3 flying carnivore is said to have been handcrafted by an unknown cosmic entity — literally falling from the void as molten gold and cooling into its final form on contact with Sonaria's surface. Its flesh is made of actual gold, forming over a cosmic core along with sinew and fur, giving it an otherworldly shimmer unlike anything else in the game. Visually, the Aereis is a four-legged creature draped in black and white fur or feathers accented with gold and violet throughout. It bears two pairs of wings on its head and a feathery-ended tail, making it one of the most visually distinctive fliers available. Its gold-infused core produces a nearly inexhaustible supply of molten blood, granting exceptional resistance to toxins. As long as that core remains intact, an Aereis can survive for centuries without withering. Despite its divine appearance, the Aereis views most creatures as lesser beings — an attitude matched by its ongoing war with its ancient rival, the Parahexilian, with swarms of Aereis uniting for massive conflicts. Its Creator-exclusive Role Limited status makes it one of the rarest creatures in the entire game.
