Usage terms and legal information for the GamingFansites platform
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using GamingFansites, you agree to these Terms of Service and ourPrivacy Policy. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must accept these terms on your behalf.
2. Platform Description & Service Model
GamingFansites as a Hosting Platform
GamingFansites operates as a platform-as-a-service (PaaS) that provides infrastructure, tools, and hosting for community-managed gaming fansites. We are a technical service provider, not a content creator.
- • We provide the technical infrastructure and tools
- • We do not create, edit, or curate content on individual fansites
- • All content is created and managed by community members
- • Site-specific moderation is handled by community-elected role holders
- • We only intervene at the highest level for legal compliance, disputes, and safety
Platform Features & Community Responsibility
Wiki System
Wiki articles are created and edited by community members with Content Path roles (Helper, Scholar, Archivest). GamingFansites does not verify the accuracy of wiki content. Information may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.
News System
News articles are written and published by community members with Content Path roles. GamingFansites does not independently verify news content. Articles represent community perspectives, not official statements from game developers.
Value List
Item values are determined through community voting and managed by Gaming Path roles (Explorer, Sage, Mastermind). Values are estimates based on community opinion and do not represent official prices or guarantees. Market conditions change constantly. Use values as guidance only.
Marketplace & Trading Lists
Trading lists are created by users to indicate items they want to buy or sell. GamingFansites does not facilitate actual trades - trades occur in-game. We are not responsible for trade outcomes, scams, or disputes that occur in-game.
W/F/L Calculator
The Win/Fair/Lose calculator uses community-determined values to estimate trade fairness. Results are estimates only and should not be the sole basis for trading decisions. Actual trade outcomes may differ significantly from calculator estimates.
Item Voting & Value Adjustments
Users can vote on whether item values should increase, decrease, or stay the same. Vote results influence value adjustments but are subject to review by Gaming Path role holders. Voting reflects community opinion, not objective market data.
Comments & User Interactions
Comments on articles, items, and news are user-generated content. While moderated by Support Path role holders, GamingFansites cannot guarantee all comments are appropriate, accurate, or helpful. Report inappropriate content using our reporting system.
3. Content Disclaimer & Liability
No Guarantee of Accuracy
GamingFansites does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or currentness of any user-generated content. This includes:
- • Item values and price estimates
- • Wiki article information
- • News articles and announcements
- • Trading recommendations
- • W/F/L calculator results
- • User comments and opinions
Limited Liability
GamingFansites shall not be held liable for:
- • Losses resulting from reliance on community-provided values or information
- • In-game trades based on our value lists or calculator
- • Incorrect or outdated wiki/news content
- • User behavior or interactions
- • Content posted by community members
- • Decisions made by community moderators
Use at Your Own Risk
By using GamingFansites, you acknowledge that you use all features and content at your own risk. We recommend verifying important information through multiple sources before making trading or other decisions based on community content.
4. Community Moderation & Governance
GamingFansites uses a hierarchical community moderation system. Most moderation is handled by community-elected role holders, with GamingFansites only intervening at the highest level.
Site-Level Moderation (Community-Managed)
- Support Path: Handle user behavior, comments, and warnings
- Content Path: Manage wiki articles and news content
- Gaming Path: Manage item values, voting, and trading content
These roles are earned through community participation and purchases. Decisions by site moderators are made independently from GamingFansites.
Platform-Level Oversight (GamingFansites)
GamingFansites (Owner and Employee roles) only intervenes for:
- • Legal compliance issues (GDPR, COPPA, illegal content)
- • Cross-site disputes and escalations
- • Data deletion requests
- • Youth protection matters
- • Platform-wide policy enforcement
- • Appeals of site-level decisions
5. Account & User Responsibilities
You Must:
- • Provide accurate account information
- • Keep your login credentials secure
- • Be respectful to all community members
- • Follow community guidelines and site-specific rules
- • Report inappropriate behavior or content
- • Ensure content you create is accurate to the best of your knowledge
- • Accept responsibility for your own trading decisions
You Must Not:
- • Share your account with others
- • Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- • Use inappropriate language or behavior
- • Share personal information publicly
- • Attempt to manipulate item values or voting
- • Post intentionally false or misleading content
- • Engage in real-money trading (RMT)
- • Use the platform for illegal activities
6. Youth Protection (Jugendschutz)
GamingFansites is committed to providing a safe environment for users of all ages. We implement the following youth protection measures:
Technical Measures
- • Content filtering and profanity filters
- • Reporting system for inappropriate content
- • Age-appropriate default settings
- • No adult content or gambling mechanics
- • Secure messaging with moderation
Parental Information
- • Users under 13 require parental consent
- • Parents can request account information
- • Parents can request account deletion

7. Data Deletion & Account Removal
In accordance with GDPR and other privacy regulations, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data.
Account Anonymization
When you delete your account, we anonymize your personal data while preserving community contributions (articles, comments, votes) in anonymized form. This maintains the integrity of community content while protecting your privacy.
Complete Data Deletion
You can request complete deletion of all your data, including contributions, by contacting us directly. Note: This is irreversible and will remove all your content from the platform.

Deletion requests are processed within 30 days as required by GDPR.
8. Virtual Items & Trading
Platform Currency (Shop Points)
Shop Points are virtual currency used within GamingFansites to purchase roles and cosmetics. They have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real money or transferred between accounts.
In-Game Items & Values
Item values displayed on GamingFansites refer to in-game items from third-party games (e.g., Roblox games). GamingFansites does not own, control, or sell these items. Values are community estimates only.
9. Premium Services & Payments
Shop Points Purchases
Shop Points can be purchased through PayPal. All payments are processed securely through PayPal's payment infrastructure. GamingFansites does not store payment card information.
Premium Subscriptions
Premium subscriptions provide enhanced features including additional daily quests and cosmetic items. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled.
Refund Policy
- • Digital goods are non-refundable once used/applied
- • Unused Shop Points may be refunded within 14 days
- • Premium subscriptions can be cancelled anytime (no partial refunds)
- • Contact support for refund requests
10. Third-Party Games & Services
Roblox & Other Games
GamingFansites is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Roblox Corporation or any other game developer. All game names, logos, and assets are trademarks of their respective owners.
OAuth & Account Linking
We use OAuth authentication from third parties (Roblox, Discord, Google). We only receive limited profile information as authorized. We do not have access to your passwords or full account data on these platforms.
Disclaimer
GamingFansites is not responsible for changes to third-party games that may affect item values, game mechanics, or content displayed on our platform. In-game information may become outdated without notice.
11. Roblox Terms of Service Compliance
What We DO NOT Do
- • No Robux Sales: We never sell, trade, or distribute Robux
- • No Virtual Item Trading for Money: We do not facilitate real-money trades for Roblox items
- • No Account Access: We never ask for or store Roblox passwords
- • No Roblox Logo Misuse: We do not use the Roblox logo without authorization
- • No False Affiliation Claims: We clearly state we are unofficial
Our Platform Currency (Shop Points)
Shop Points are GamingFansites' own virtual currency used exclusively on our platform:
- • Shop Points are NOT Robux - they are a completely separate system
- • Shop Points can only be used for website features (cosmetics, roles, lottery, gacha)
- • Shop Points have no connection to Roblox or any in-game content
- • This is identical to how Patreon, Discord Nitro, or Rolimon's Premium works
OAuth Login Compliance
We use Roblox's officially provided OAuth 2.0 authentication system. This is the same system used by Bloxlink, Rolimon's, and other approved third-party tools. We only request minimal data (username, avatar) and never perform automated actions on your Roblox account.
Precedent: Similar Platforms
Our business model is identical to established, Roblox-tolerated community platforms:
- • Rolimon's - Premium subscriptions, item values, player stats (active since 2018)
- • Traderie - Trading platform with premium features
- • Bloxlink - Premium Discord bot features
- • Fandom Wikis - Game information and assets for community purposes
12. Fair Use & Copyright
Game Assets & Screenshots
GamingFansites displays game assets (logos, item icons, screenshots) under fair use principles:
- • Purpose: Informational and educational (wiki, guides, value lists)
- • Nature: Factual usage to help players understand game content
- • Amount: Limited to necessary screenshots and icons, not entire games
- • Effect: Does not replace or compete with the original games
Trademark Acknowledgment
All game names, logos, images, and trademarks are property of their respective owners including:
- • Roblox® is a trademark of Roblox Corporation
- • Adopt Me!® is a trademark of DreamCraft (Uplift Games)
- • Blox Fruits® is a trademark of Gamer Robot Inc.
- • Other games are trademarks of their respective developers
DMCA & Takedown Requests
We respect intellectual property rights. If you are a rights holder and believe content on our platform infringes your copyright or trademark, please contact us at [email protected]. We will promptly review and remove any infringing content upon valid request.
User-Uploaded Content
Users who upload content (screenshots, item images, guides) are responsible for ensuring they have the right to share such content. By uploading, users confirm the content complies with fair use principles or they have obtained necessary permissions.
13. Lottery, Gacha & Prize Systems
Eligible Prize Types
All prizes from our Weekly Lottery and Monthly Gacha are limited to:
- • Shop Points - Our platform's virtual currency for website features
- • VIP/Premium Days - Subscription time for GamingFansites Premium
- • Website Cosmetics - Profile frames, name colors, badges, and visual effects
- • XP Boosts - Experience point bonuses for leveling
Prohibited Prize Types
We explicitly DO NOT award:
- • Real-world items (PS5, iPhones, merchandise, etc.)
- • Cash or money transfers (PayPal, bank transfer, cryptocurrency)
- • Gift cards (Amazon, Steam, PlayStation, etc.)
- • Robux or any Roblox virtual currency
- • In-game items from Roblox or any other game
Legal Basis
Under German law (§3 GlüStV), a game constitutes gambling when participants pay an entry fee for a chance to win prizes of monetary value. By limiting our rewards to website-internal virtual items with no real-world monetary value and no cash-out option, our systems operate as entertainment features rather than regulated gambling. This is consistent with established platforms like Discord Nitro giveaways, Twitch channel points, and gaming community loyalty programs.
Live Stream Drawings
Our Weekly Lottery includes a Live Stream Drawing on Twitch. The same prize restrictions apply: only Shop Points, VIP Days, and Website Cosmetics are awarded. The live stream serves as proof of fair drawing and community entertainment - it does not change the nature of eligible prizes.
14. Rule Enforcement & Violations
Strike System (Site-Level)
Each site uses a 10-strike progressive enforcement system managed by community moderators:
Platform-Level Bans
GamingFansites (Owner) may issue global bans affecting all sites for severe violations including:
- • Illegal activities
- • Extreme harassment across multiple sites
- • Real-money trading
- • Content harmful to minors
- • Repeated ban evasion
Appeals
Banned users may appeal through our Help Center. Appeals are reviewed by the appropriate authority level (site moderators for site bans, GamingFansites for global bans).
15. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create. By posting content, you grant GamingFansites a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, modify, and distribute your content within the platform. This license ends when you delete your content or account (subject to anonymization policies).
Platform Content
The GamingFansites platform, including its design, code, logos, and features, is owned by GamingFansites. Users may not copy, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works without permission.
Third-Party Content
Game assets, logos, item images, and other third-party content remain property of their respective owners. Use of such content on GamingFansites is for community and informational purposes only.
16. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- No Warranty: GamingFansites is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
- Content Accuracy: We do not warrant the accuracy of any community-generated content, including item values, wiki articles, news, or comments.
- Service Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The platform may be unavailable for maintenance or technical issues.
- Third-Party Actions: We are not liable for actions of users, community moderators, or third-party services integrated with our platform.
- Trading Losses: We are not liable for any losses resulting from in-game trades, regardless of whether our value lists or calculator were used.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service to reflect changes in our platform, legal requirements, or community needs. Significant changes will be communicated through:
- • In-platform notifications
- • Email notifications (for registered users)
- • Announcements on our Discord server
Continued use of the platform after changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree with changes, you may close your account.
18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by German law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Germany. For EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence may also apply.
