Few creatures in Creatures of Sonaria inspire as much awe as the Angelic Warden — known in lore as Serphelius. This Tier 5 flying carnivore holds a record no other creature in the game can claim: 52 eyes, more than any other species in all of Sonaria. It is also the first of the Warden-class creatures to possess wings, setting it apart from its earthbound counterparts. Its design draws heavily from biblically accurate depictions of angels — specifically seraphim and thrones — combined with elements of snakes, classical armor, and Greek architecture. The result is a creature that feels divine and terrible in equal measure, its many eyes and serpentine grace creating an unsettling yet magnificent presence. In lore, the Angelic Warden oversees the cycle of rebirth in Sonaria. It guides the revival of fallen species — including those created by other Wardens — granting the dead a second chance at life. The glowing orb it carries is said to contain the fate, future, and ultimate end of every Sonarian creature, functioning like a cosmic crystal ball. Whether encountered in-game or admired from a safe distance, Serphelius is not a creature anyone forgets easily.
