The Eigion Warden is a Tier 5 aquatic carnivore and one of Sonaria's most terrifying Warden-class creatures — a leviathan born from the darkest inspirations in ocean mythology. Modeled after lionfish, pufferfish, sharks, Subnautica's Reaper Leviathan, and the sea monsters depicted on medieval maps, the Eigion Warden is a long, serpentine beast with six claw-tipped flippers along its torso, each bearing orange eye-like markings. Multiple jagged spikes run along its back, and its tail features shark-like fins with glowing spots that pulse in the deep. Its neck is protected by a unique biological mechanism — a second layer of skin filled with water, which absorbs damage intended for the actual neck beneath. According to its lore, the Eigion Warden feeds not just on flesh but on the agony, pain, and terror of creatures on the losing side of a battle. It deliberately warps certain Sonarian fauna into more bloodthirsty species to ensure future suffering worth feeding on. Newborn Eigion Wardens are called pups; groups form pods. One of the most lore-rich and visually spectacular Wardens in the game.
