Idrabark is a small land omnivore of Tier 2 in Creatures of Sonaria and one of the most culturally rich creatures in the game's lore. Unlike most of Sonaria's fauna, Idrabarks are arboreal bipeds — they move through dense forest canopies with ease, aided by a network of vines that naturally weave around their bodies over time. These vines aren't decorative: Idrabarks can retract and extend them as a form of natural weaponry, fashioning improvised spears for defense and hunting. Perhaps most remarkably, Idrabarks are capable of speech. Their native language is Sonarian — the in-universe tongue of the world's more sentient inhabitants — and they supplement verbal communication with a rich repertoire of chirping, trilling, growling, hissing, purring, and squealing vocalizations that convey nuanced emotional and social information. This linguistic ability sets Idrabark apart from the vast majority of creatures in the game and lends it a sense of personhood rarely afforded to a Tier 2 omnivore.
