Berry Smoothie returns 80 MP for 140 Tria, or 1.75 per point, so the milk is the weaker buy for anyone who just wants mana back. The reason to buy it anyway has nothing to do with drinking it. Fresh Milk goes into Berry Smoothie at the Cooking Station, blended with magic berries. Anyone supplying themselves with smoothies needs milk coming from somewhere, and 70 Tria a bottle is the lazy way to get it. As a drink, 35 MP covers a spell or two on most casters. The 2 second cooldown lets you chain bottles, but three bottles cost 210 Tria and six seconds to match what one smoothie does for 140. In a fight where mana is the bottleneck, milk is not the answer. Downtime is where it works. Topping off between pulls, refilling after a long cast sequence, situations where the cooldown never matters and you only need a small amount. Small restores waste nothing when you are barely short. Buyback is 2 Tria, so leftovers are effectively spent. Milk still warm from the cow points at where this belongs long term. Livestock produces it directly, and a player keeping cows stops paying Arlette entirely. Pair that with a Magic Berry Seeds plot regrowing every 20 minutes and 6 seconds through Spring, Summer and Autumn, and the whole smoothie chain runs on things you own. Fresh Milk carries no level or class restriction and needs nothing unlocked. Buy it as a cooking ingredient rather than as a mana potion. Casters heading into real content want Berry Smoothie at 80 MP a drink. Milk belongs in the pantry, next to whatever recipe asked for it.
