Nobody should read that as good value, and the game is not pretending otherwise. What you are buying at this tier is the top of the list, not a meaningful improvement in how fast you cross a map. Hogan pays 9282 Tria to take it back, so the usual rule applies harder than ever: mounts do not stack, and climbing the ladder wastes enormous sums. Buying Mudbucket, then Smokehoof, then Blackbean, then Snowloaf costs 459200 Tria and leaves you on the same horse as someone who saved and bought Snowloaf once. If this is where you are heading, ride nothing until you get there or ride the cheapest horse and ignore the middle tiers entirely.
