Trailblazer Hood

A padded hood for pushing through brush, priced at 1050 Tria and gated behind DEX 12. Trailblazer Hood is the entry point into the dexterity armour line. DEF +8 and Max HP +40 put it between Kettle Crown at DEF +12 and Dustwalker Hood at DEF +5. Max MP +8 sits in the same middle position. If the pattern is not obvious yet, this whole line refuses to specialise, and for a DEX build that suits how the class actually plays. Move Speed -0.6 is the cost. Lighter than the -1.0 that Kettle Crown charges, heavier than the -0.3 on Dustwalker Hood. For a build that already gets Attack Speed +0.10x or better from a dagger, giving up movement hurts more than it would for a tank, so the middle setting is the right one. HP regeneration runs at +1.0 per second. Tin Tortoise drops it at 3.93%, around one per 25 kills. Cup Snail drops it at 0.25%, one in 400, which is not a farm. Given the tortoise rate, anyone levelling nearby should save the 1050 Tria and let it drop. Breda buys it back at 39 Tria. Trailblazer Hood needs nothing unlocked beyond DEX 12. DEX 12 arrives early on a dagger build, and Wooden Shiv at DEX 7 and 700 Tria is usually already in hand by then. The hood is the natural next purchase and it holds up until Trailblazer Vest and Trailblazer Pants become available at DEX 17 and DEX 15. What it will not do is save you from a bad fight. DEF +8 on the head is enough to blunt chip damage and nothing more. Dagger builds survive by killing things before they retaliate, and armour at this tier supports that plan rather than replacing it.
