Dustwalker Gloves
Attack Speed +0.05x and Cast Speed +0.05x, the fastest gloves Breda sells, on the piece with the least armour. Dustwalker Gloves cost 700 Tria and require INT 12. That +0.05x on cast speed is the reason a caster buys them. Kettle Mitts manage +0.02x and Trailblazer Gloves +0.03x, so nothing else in the slot moves your casting along this much. Stacked with a staff like Voidlantern at Cast Speed +0.08x, the difference in how fast spells come out is noticeable rather than theoretical. DEF +1 and MDEF +2 are close to nothing. You are not buying these for protection. Soft gloves trimmed in green, cut for spellwork, and good for snacking too. The second half is a joke, though it does tell you how much material is actually in them. They come Unidentified, which means the visible stats are only part of what the gloves do. Identifying them adds properties the shop display does not show, so the 700 Tria buys more than the tooltip promises. Tin Tortoise drops them at 7.74%, about one per thirteen kills, and Spore Deer at 0.25%, roughly one in 400. Farming tortoises is a reasonable alternative to paying at this price point, though 700 Tria is small enough that most players just buy. Breda pays 26 Tria to take them back. Dustwalker Gloves need nothing unlocked beyond INT 12. INT 12 is also when Dustwalker Hood and Cyanbloom become available, and among those three the gloves are the cheapest by a wide margin. Buy them first. A slot filled for 700 Tria beats saving toward something that costs 1750 and covers one more square of your character.
