Identifying them adds properties beyond the visible stats. Three mobs drop them. Tin Tortoise at 7.74%, roughly one per thirteen kills, is the only one worth farming. Cog Crab at 0.22% and Kettle Beetle at 0.18% are both around one in 500. Breda pays 26 Tria to buy them back. Kettle Stompers need nothing unlocked beyond VIT 15. VIT 15 is a busy level for a vitality build. Kettle Greaves, Iron Mace and Voidguard all unlock at the same point, and at 700 Tria the boots are by far the cheapest of the four. Buy them first, because filling a slot for 700 Tria while saving for a 1750 Tria shield beats leaving your feet bare. The movement bonus is the part players underrate. Defence numbers decide whether you survive a fight. Movement decides how many fights you get to in an hour, and over a levelling session that adds up to more.
