Wooden beads on a knotted string, carved by hand and a little uneven. It counts. Wooden Beads occupy the necklace slot, cost 1050 Tria at Breda, and give Max HP +30 with DEF +5. Straightforward survivability with nothing else attached. No speed modifiers, no mana, no magic defence. For a vitality build that is fine, since the necklace slot has no competing use and five points of defence is five points you did not have. Compare it against Silver Chain, the other necklace Breda stocks. That one costs 2450 Tria for MDEF +4 and Max MP +50, aimed squarely at casters. Wooden Beads cost less than half as much and point in the opposite direction. A Defender wants these, an Enchanter wants the chain, and nobody sensibly wants both. The beads come Unidentified. What the shop displays is a floor rather than the complete item, and identifying them adds properties beyond the visible stats. At 1050 Tria that unknown is a meaningful part of what you are paying for. No mob drops Wooden Beads, so Breda is the only source. Copper Band and Silver Chain both come off Tin Tortoise at 1.00%, which makes this one of the few accessories with no farming alternative. Breda buys them back at 39 Tria. There is no stat requirement, so the beads can be equipped at any level by any class. Where they fit: an early vitality character who has filled the obvious slots and has 1050 Tria spare. Where they do not: anyone who could put that Tria toward Copper Band at 2450, which gives Max HP +50 and DEF +7 in the bracelet slot instead. Both together cover two accessory slots for 3500 Tria, which is a reasonable target for a tank once the armour is sorted.
