A brown tunic, more patch than tunic, and somebody worked a lot of fields in it before you did. Peasant Tunic costs 350 Tria at Breda and fills the Clothing shirt slot. No stats. That is the first thing to know about anything on Breda's clothing rack, and it catches players out because the pieces sit in the same shop as armour that does carry defence. Warden Robes at 2450 Tria look like plate and provide exactly as much protection as this patched tunic, which is none. The Clothing slot exists alongside your Chest armour rather than replacing it, so wearing Peasant Tunic costs you nothing defensively. Dustwalker Vest or Pot Armor still do their work underneath. What changes is what other players see. At 350 Tria this is the cheapest shirt available, matching Peasant Trousers exactly. The two together run 700 Tria for a complete peasant outfit, which is the entry point into cosmetics and cheap enough that a levelling character can afford it without delaying anything important. No level or stat requirement is attached. Breda pays 13 Tria to take it back. Nobody sells clothing back on purpose, and at this price the loss is trivial anyway. The patched look is deliberate and it reads clearly. If you are roleplaying a farmhand, running a plot of Wheat Seeds and keeping livestock, the tunic fits the character better than anything else on the rack. If you want to look like you have accomplished something, Commoner Tunic at 700 Tria is the first step away from this, and Traveler Tunic at 1050 is where the outfits start looking deliberate rather than inherited.
