Recipe: 24 Wood, 12 Scrap Metal, 6 Rusty Gear, 2 Junk Core. Double the Goblin Fork Stabber requirement across the board, and those two cores are the part to plan around at roughly 156 Barrel Champion kills each. P.ATK +20 with Ignore DEF +12%, Max MP +28 and MP regeneration at +2.0 per second. That attack figure looks low against Iron Mace at P.ATK +11 until you notice it nearly doubles it, and the Ignore DEF jumps from +8% to +12%. One-handed, so a shield still fits, which keeps Voidguard in play. Where it disappoints is next to Amber Mallet, also a one-handed blunt at P.ATK +31 with Ignore DEF +15% and Max MP +40. If both are craftable at similar cost, the mallet is the better weapon and this is a stepping stone. Lycaros drops it at 15.98%, about one per six kills. Junk King at 7.74% and Buckethead Goblin at 0.25% follow. As with most weapons at this bench, killing Lycaros is faster than farming four separate materials. Vendors pay 130 Tria for it. Tin Can Smasher needs nothing unlocked beyond VIT 25. Build it if you are a Defender who cannot yet handle Lycaros and needs something better than Iron Mace. The shield stays equipped, the Ignore DEF suits armoured targets, and 2 Junk Core is a reachable target. If you can kill Lycaros, farm the drop and put your cores toward Scrap Sledge instead.
