Scrap plates bolted into a blade with goblin doodles included, and it has cut through worse than you. Rusty Cleaver is the strength option at Eren's bench, requiring STR 25. Recipe: 24 Wood, 12 Scrap Metal, 6 Rusty Gear, 2 Junk Core. P.ATK +39 with Attack Speed +0.06x, Damage Up +7%, Max MP +30 and MP regeneration at +2.0 per second. Set that against Iron Sword, the best blade Breda sells at P.ATK +22, Attack Speed +0.05x and Damage Up +5%, and the cleaver is a clear step up in every column. Damage Up rather than Ignore DEF is worth noting. Damage Up raises everything proportionally and works on soft targets. Junkblade at STR 27 swaps to Ignore DEF +12% and a negative attack speed, which makes it the armour-penetration option. The two are not simply better and worse versions of each other. Positive attack speed on a sword this heavy is the detail that makes Rusty Cleaver comfortable to use. Most weapons that hit this hard slow you down. Lycaros drops it at 15.98%, roughly one per six kills. Junk King at 7.74% and Critter Goblin at 0.25% follow. Vendors pay 170 Tria, the highest buyback of any mid-tier craft here. Rusty Cleaver needs nothing unlocked beyond STR 25. The obvious build for a Warrior who has outgrown Iron Sword and is not yet at STR 27. Two Junk Core is the real cost, so before committing, decide whether you would rather spend four on Junkblade and wait. If you are levelling through unarmoured content, the cleaver's Damage Up will serve you better than Junkblade's Ignore DEF anyway.
