Scrap metal welded into a blade by someone who skipped the manual. Ugly, but it bites. Junkblade sits at the top of the strength line at Eren's bench, requiring STR 27. Recipe: 48 Wood, 24 Scrap Metal, 12 Rusty Gear, 4 Junk Core. Those four cores are the wall. At Barrel Champion's 0.64% drop rate that is around 625 kills, and no other material in the recipe comes close to that time cost. P.ATK +55 with Ignore DEF +12%, Max MP +35 and MP regeneration at +2.0 per second. Attack Speed is -0.05x, the price of the damage. The comparison worth running is against Rusty Cleaver at STR 25. That weapon gives P.ATK +39 with Damage Up +7% and a positive +0.06x attack speed, for half the materials. Junkblade adds 16 attack and armour penetration, and takes speed away. Against armoured targets it wins clearly. Against everything else the gap narrows enough that the extra two cores are hard to justify. Lycaros drops it at 15.98%, about one per six kills. Junk King drops it at 3.93% and Barrel Champion at 0.80%. That first number changes the calculation entirely. If you can kill Lycaros, farming the drop takes a fraction of the time the recipe does, and the cores you save go toward something you cannot get another way. Vendors buy it at 182 Tria. Junkblade needs nothing unlocked beyond STR 27. Farm it rather than craft it if Lycaros is within reach. Build it only if the drop is beyond you and you have cores to spare, which for most players at STR 27 means neither.
