Half the quantities of the larger pieces, and one Fossilized Amber rather than more, which makes gloves and shoes the cheapest entry into forest crafting. Thorngrasp carries the forest-tier dexterity requirement. The Unidentified marker matters more here than on a chest piece. Seven defence on its own would not justify a Fossilized Amber, and the hidden properties are a meaningful part of what you are paying for.
