Spend 2100, change your mind, lose 2022. Nobody should be buying this rod on a whim. Fishing works differently from every other gathering activity. No seasons to wait for, no soil to till, no seeds to rebuy each cycle. You walk to water and cast. Where a plot of Golden Fruit Seeds locks you into Autumn and an hour per kilogram, the rod earns whenever you have twenty free minutes. Fish also fill cooking recipes that vegetables cannot, which keeps the catch in demand rather than sitting in a vendor pile. It occupies the right hand slot, the same slot used by the Hoe, the Harvest Basket and your weapon. Fishing is best treated as its own session for that reason. Swapping between rod and sword repeatedly gets tedious fast. The rod does not wear out, break or need repairs, so the 2100 Tria is permanent. Whether that is expensive depends entirely on how much you fish. Cast a handful of times and you have burned an entire season of farming profit. Fish regularly and the number stops mattering inside a week. The Fishing Rod carries no level or class restriction. Money is the only gate. Buy it once your plot funds itself. A plain rod and line pulls dinner out of the shallows perfectly well, but not on day one with 2100 Tria you needed for seeds.
