She arrives at Lv. 1 with an experience bar of 1200, three times what a Chicken needs at 400, and she gains it through feed rather than anything you do in combat. Feed her well and she grows, which is a longer project than the chicken and a more expensive one to keep running. That feed cost is easy to underestimate. 3500 Tria buys the cow, not the growth. A player who buys her and then rations the feed ends up with an expensive Lv. 1 animal that never becomes what they paid for. Hogan buys her back at 130 Tria. Under four percent, and it ignores whatever levels she has gained, so the purchase is effectively permanent. Against the Chicken at 700 Tria, the cow is five times the cost for a product that feeds a narrower set of recipes. Eggs turn up in more places than milk does. What tips it is what you play. A Warrior has little use for a milk supply. An Enchanter running Berry Smoothie or Mana Cake between fights will get the 3500 Tria back inside a few sessions. Cow carries no level or class restriction and needs nothing unlocked. Buy her when your income is steady and your feed supply is not a question. She is not a first purchase, and she is not a purchase to make before the plot that keeps her fed.
