Scrap Sledge
An old bell head on a bent scrap shaft, heavy enough that aim is optional. Scrap Sledge is the two-handed blunt weapon at Eren's bench, requiring VIT 27. Recipe: 48 Wood, 24 Scrap Metal, 12 Rusty Gear, 4 Junk Core, the same as Junkblade and Junk Totem. Ignore DEF +18% is the highest armour penetration in the game, ahead of Iron Hammer at +12% and Junkblade at +12%. Max MP +35 and MP regeneration at +2.0 per second fill out the line, and Attack Speed sits at -0.10x, matching Iron Hammer for the slowest swing available. That combination defines what the weapon is for. Against a heavily armoured target the penetration does more than raw attack would. Against anything soft, the speed penalty makes it a poor choice, and Tin Can Smasher at VIT 25 with a shield in the off hand will clear a camp faster. Being two-handed costs you Voidguard, which is a real loss for a vitality build. DEF +25 and Block +10% in the off hand is not something to give up lightly, and it is the strongest argument for keeping Tin Can Smasher as your everyday weapon and swapping to the sledge for specific fights. Lycaros drops it at 15.98%, Junk King at 3.93% and Barrel Champion at 0.80%. Vendors buy it at 182 Tria. Scrap Sledge needs nothing unlocked beyond VIT 27. Treat it as a situational second weapon rather than a replacement. Four Junk Core is roughly 625 Barrel Champion kills, which is a great deal of work for a weapon you will unequip whenever the target is not wearing plate. Farm it from Lycaros if you can and spend the cores elsewhere.
